A New Beginning in Germany, Oct 1-3, 2011

‘A New Beginning’ seminar was organised in Starnberg, Germany between the 1st-3rd October. Facilitated by OWA Senior Faculty Ananda Giri and assisted by Faculty member Krishnaraj, the event drew participants from Switzerland, Germany and Austria. It was wonderful to see some of the participants who had earlier attended the seminar at the same venue in May this year participating once again, but this time with a few friends or family members. Powerful meditations, deeply contemplative and thought-provoking teachings combined with laughter and playfulness during the breaks made this journey feel so complete and memorable. The openness of sharing in the participants & their sincerity towards learning and making a difference to their lives were well-reflected in the quality of their questions and discussions with the faculty.

Apart from the teachings and meditations, the setting in and around the venue too played a very important role in guiding people deeper. The picturesque Bavarian countryside was at its very best with clear skies and cool but sunny weather on all three days of the event.. Participants had the luxury of walking by the beautiful Berg See or by rolling landscapes in the evenings and this immensely helped them in their journey towards greater awareness and peace. The special furniture at the venue all the more augmented the beautiful setting and created a serene space for an inward journey.

It was indeed a privilege to embark on this wonderful journey with so many wonderful people and OWA offers deep gratitude to the wonderful organisers and their team for making this possible.

Although the course generated huge interest among many more people across Germany, Austria and Switzerland, we regret that the participation had to be limited for want of more space at the venue. We would like to inform all those friends who were unsuccessful in enrolling for this event that we have scheduled another event in the end of February 2012 specifically for all of you! We intend to have a bigger venue the next time and invite you to join us with your friends and families. The dates and venue details will be announced very soon.
